:: Portrait of a Mad-God

2 DAYS.

2 days of my self-confidence plummeting with every stroke,
2 days of mad-eyed scribbling,
2 days of my family and fellows standing by and watching, riveted by my frenzied painting,

And finally, 2 days of madness.

It was amazing.

It was an experimentation on two levels. The first, and most obvious one, was to hone my skills at soft shading. The second, less noticeable to those who haven't seen me, was to draw myself. Not the stylized, cartoony me that most of you have come to see me as, but the pink, fleshy, squishy, crazy human I am. Everything that I am wearing I actually own, the crazy mass of hair is mine, and so on.

*looks at description* Wow, do I sound like a pompous windbag.

This was the single hardest thing I've every painted, prolly because it was of myself, and prolly because I hate the way I look. But over the course of those 2 days, I've come to like myself more, find things about myself that I didn't know I had, and have come to love features of myself I previously hated.

Except my hair. I still hate my hair. 8|
