Shade's Status Report: October 13th

Not much to report on my end, as of late. I got my cavity drilled, with was the most epic experience EVER. MY WHOLE LOWER LEFT SIDE OF MY LIP WAS NUMB FOR AN HOUR. 8D And it's a porcelain filling, son no one can see it. 8(

I've been having really bad mood swings lately at school too. Like on Thursday last week, I felt really upset in my T.A. period. It was severe enough and bad enough where I almost started crying. 8o

OH AND I HAVE EPIC NEWS OF EPIC THINGS!!

Shade's Status Report: September 15th

So, some very noteworthy things have been happening over on my end lately...

First and foremost, I have started school again. Which sucks. Royally. Because half of my friends have graduated, my schedule's like a bad rubik's cube with peanut butter in the gears, and I broke up with my boyfriend. *sighs heavily* And as fate would have it, he's in two of my classes, and he has the gall to sit next to me in one of them. *breaks a podium*

On a more medical note, I need to have my wisdom teeth pulled and get a cavity drilled. Which only kinda sucks because I get to get off from school for like... 2-3 days for my wisdom teeth. 83

And I recently got some wonderful goodies from my dear ~Blues-Antenna. She got me some Ramune (which I'm hoarding and doling out to myself very slowly.) and a really cute version of Thumbellina. (I fucking love Thumbellina and fairy tales, btw.) So that was epically awesome.

OH OH OH. And I might be going to a Ren Faire on Saturday!!!! Last Ren faire I went to was so much win you don't even KNOW!! 8D AND THIS TIME I'M WEARING A COSTUME.Which makes it doubly awesome, and possibly very warm. @^X

Disclaimer: Although Lucien is not my character birthed from my own mind, I have rped him on several occasions due to my own insecurities about my own characters. After doing more 'fleshing out' for him and my various other characters, he has become one of my regular victims in my various rps. And he may or may not resemble the man most of you Oblivion fans recognize, but I don't really care.

Lucien Lachance:

Lucien has been used in two rps.

1. His love interests include D-Z and Martin-[From an epic crack rp with ~Dreamsprite]

2. He's currently dating D-Z, and Martin's depends on the RP. [Martin: ]

3. Very aloof and stand-offish at first. Always rigidly formal until he's familiar with the people around him. Plays with knives and sharp things when he's nervous or bored. Doesn't show affection in public. [D-Z: Very true. >8I]

4. He's a human, and for the purposes of all the rps, he's an imperial/breton mix.

5. He's about 6'2", built in a wiry sort of way. And he's still got his ponytail and stubble. Because stubble's awesome on assassins.

6. He's a man. Very much so. Even if he did make out with a guy. But everyone knows Martin's practically a girl. [Martin: HEY!!]

7. The specifics usually change, but his part in Oblivion stays the same because I'm lazy like that.

8. He's usually set at 35-ish.

Kakitaka "Katie" Leopold Kurazhugawa:

Katie's been used in one rp.

1. His love interest is ~Blues-Antenna's Gei.

2. He and Gei are currently living together. [Katie: Yeah~ |3 ]

3. He's very outgoing. Cracks jokes, usually inappropriate ones. Very positive, but reverts to child-like syntax when upset. Shows off his goods, AKA goes shirtless on warm days.

4. He's an imph, a member of a race of cat-people in my story.

5. Basically, he looks like D-Z, but with red-orange markings and a mecha eye.[Katie: She's lazy and hasn't drawn me on the web. 8I ]

6. He's a man. Even moreso than Lucien. 'Cept he's very much in love with a dude.

7. The only definite thing in his back story is that he's a DJ and a model. And he's D-Z's older brother.

8. He looks 25, but he's 425. [D-Z: Damn you...]

Shade's Status report: July 31st

Well, lotsa stuff has been going on over here lately.

My birthday was on the 5th, which was spent with and (via internet for Brit) I had heaps of fun~ My dad bought me a wireless mouse and TES 4: Knights of the Nine expansion pack, Napalm's still working on my present (which is okay 'cos hers isn't done yet), my sister got me FIRGGIN' POCKY *omnomnom*, and *isn't sure if this counts* made me a mod that makes your charrie in Oblivion LOOKLIKELUCEINLACHANCE .

My younger sister went to Europe for a music thing. *is still very jealous* She went all over the place. She loved Switzerland, said that France was pretty, but "the frogs are snobs." (Sorry my little French meat pies). She brought me a scarf from Paris, chocolate from Switzerland, and a shirt from Zermant.

AND WE MOVED. 2 blocks.

[link] I watched her make this one. What I really love about it is her pastel color pallet that she used when coloring them, because I very rarely ever see traditional media artist use pastel tone anyomre.

[link] + [link] *photography nerd squee* I love the tungsten (on the original) and the low lighting used on this photo. I also love the muted appearance to the colors, and the shortened depth of field are used expertly here. Both conceptually and technically, these are beautiful images. Together, I feel that they show how post-production can be used properly, without taking away from the original image as well.

[link] There's something about this image that just makes me smile. For being a quick snapshot taken by a friend of herself, it reads as much more than what it began as.

Just a general update, of sorts. 8(

Well, life's been both exceptionally wonderful, and hopelessly shitty.

Herein Layeth Shade's Angst:

My grandpa, who's been a smoker all his life, was diagnosed with a pretty sucky lung condition.(Who's special name escapes me at the moment.) What's going on in his lungs is the bronchioles won't contract when air is taken in the the lungs. The capillaries can still absorb the oxygen, but the oxygen isn't going into the air sacs properly.

Well, so what the doctor told him he needs to quit smoking, otherwise he will die. 8(

So, this all happened a few months ago, he quit smoking, and it all seemed sunny. Well, so on Valentine's Day, my aunt calls us to say hi and thank us for a package we sent them. Her and my mom talk for EVER, and then my mom's like, "We'll g2g...", and my aunt goes, "Okay byez, oh, and Dad's smoking again."



I'm just so pissed off that this happened. I mean, he was doing stellar for a few months, with a few rough days here and there, we don't hear 'bout it much, and then my aunt tells my mom that he's smoking again, and she's got no clue why. Meanwhile, my mom's kinda ticked, 'cos my grandma's not really saying much about it, and that's not helping.



As if there wasn't enough on my plate already, my boy had surgery on Thursday. He was all freaked out Wednesday 'cos some dipshit in his history class decided that it would be funny to mention that there have been cases in which people wake up under that anesthesia during surgery and can't move, but feel it going on. So, I had to talk him down about that.

Then, he calls me yesterday night, to tell me it all went fine, and he sounded so beat on the phone. I told him to stay home today, 'cos he was having trouble moving around and stuff, and he was all doped up on painkillers, so he was pretty out of it. So, he stayed home today, and he's feeling better now, but wee agro Shade misses him so. 8(

And, I'm sick of slow people in the hallways at school, but that is immaterial.

I apologize to all who wasted their time reading my angsty, melodramatic journal. I just wanted to rant to someone...ANYONE....about my problems. Eet has made wee Shades feel better.

I'm sorry that I've been offline/lurking silently for the past few weeks. This stuff with my grandpa isn't a good excuse, and other stuff at school's been going on, giving wee Shade more stress than she wants or needs. 8(

And to my RL corespondents, I know I've been a pain-in-the-ass lately, and I'm sorry I've been AFK from several things (you know what these are), and I feel shitty that I've snapped at some of you, and I know it's wrong of me to do it (and type it on my dA), But I feel better just, sorta saying out loud.

He'd probably land on the table. Then he'd start swearing a lot.

It'd go something like this:

Me: *walks into kitchen* Ow0

Mephisto: Where in the nine hells am- Oh shit.

Me: Umm... hi? 8U

Mephisto: *twitch*

Me: *drags him off to my room*

My dad would be like, "Madeline, who this?" and my Mom would be like "No, we aren't having anymore pets."

I'd take him to school with me. That school would never be the same.

Do what I always do and don't keep my mouth shut. Mephisto'd put me in a headlock and then proceed to berate the harasser.

...I'm not sure. In our neighboring city of 20,000 people, yes. In Sticksville, he deserves to be alone for getting lost in a town this small.

7) Let's say its just you and your character at home alone, how would you pass the time?

Order pizza and bring over . IT WOULD BE THE BEST SLEEPOVER EVER~!

8) Pretend your character came across his weakness. What would you do to help them?

Wrap him in tinfoil. It wouldn't really help him, but it'd be fun. 8}

9) Okay, your character's arch nemesis came to battle him. What would happen?

I'd try and chase them off with a curtain rod, get seriously injured, and be a complete liability in the fight.
